Pain is subjective, so there is no definative answer to how bad it will or can get. Personally, mine fluctuates. I have many days that I feel great, but I'm in bed at least a few days a month. It's a massive improvement from when I first got sick. I spent a year bedridden with muscle aches and horrible chronic nerve pain. It got so bad for me, my skin became so hypersensitive that wearing clothes or hugging my son was excruciating. I became depressed, which made it worse. I still have constant pain, but it's at a manageable level now.
I have learned, through the years of dealing with Fibro, that there are triggers. I do my best to avoid them. I try to keep my stress level low and avoid getting sick or over extering my muscles, even when I work out.
Personally, I have 4 or 5 days per month that I cannot do anything. But I am untreated right now due to lack of medical insurance.
When I was on cymbalta, I did not have those extreme days.
Now, I cannot afford the meds. I hurt everyday, just some days worse than others. Your individual situation will be yours alone.
Take good care of yourself. I wish you well.
Thank you for that really appreciate it .
I have fibromyalgia and so does my mother. From what I have learned it can stay the way it is now for the rest of your life or it can get worse. Try to stay on a daily routine sleep when your tired and don't overdue yourself, the best you can do is take good care of yourself hoping to help it not get worse. Very true, as bad as it gets for you.
Unfortunately there is no answer to this other than as bad as it gets for you.
