I have fibromyalgia also and am filing for my disability for the 4th time. I have been living with this disease since I was 12 years old. I just recently within the last week found out that my heart taking off on its own was called Tachicardia. They put me on antenlol yesterday. I take 3600 mgs of neurontin a day, 60 mg of celexa, 75mg of ellaville, 12.5 mg of lisinopril and darvecet 100 for the break through pain. Acoording to the social security people I am suppose to be able to work this drugged up and still in pain. I have alot of mental problems due to child hood abuse and my threapist is trying to switch me over to a psychiatrist. Thank god my husband understands or I would surely be single right now. He says sometimes it is fun being married to me because it is like living on a roller coaster:-) A friend told me she was treated with zonegram for her backpain and it helped her lose 60 lbs. Has anyone on here ever been treated with this drug for FM?
i thought that was just the meds doing that
I have fibro but also something called POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tacychardia Syndrome), a type of Dysautonomia, and it sounds like you could have this also. Many, many people with fibro have tacychardia symptoms and the orthostatic part of it makes you dizzy and easy to lose your balance. For years, I would stand up or move too quickly and either pass out or hit my knees.
It would probably be worth your time to check this out by googling it.
what meds are you on
antidepressants made me walk partially into walls - very painful eh! - kind of counterproductive
