Funny I should see you here as well :-) I spent most of 2007 in and out of hospitals and doctors. I ended up going to the Cleavland Clinic numerous times as an outpatient and was diag w/fibro. I was on a TON of meds prior to and weened off of some afterwards. They put me on a high dose of Lyrica for the fybro and I did aqua therapy for months to rehabilitate after all the time i spent laid up in pain. I have anxiety issues and take xanax as needed. Bouts of depression but haven't been on meds for that forever. Once I found out I was preg I quit taking all RX's per drs orders. My pain has increased ALOT but having a baby is more important to me right now. Since the MC everyone but hubby & my parents are trying to get me back on my fibro med. I refuse because the drs haven't been able to tell me affects of Lyrica and pregnancy. I know from the other forum you're under a GREAT deal of stress right now. It is crazy what stress can do to your body. As you can probably remember from high school when you had a big test you could make yourself sick worrying over it. With everything you've been through you might want to talk to a doc about the affects of stress on the body first. Fibro isn't fun, especially if left untreated. I go to a physiatrist (sp?) for my fibro. My family dr wasn't as experienced so he said a pain specialist could better diagnose/treat it. Before becoming preg & MC I also got spine injections for pain that were amazing. feel free to message me if you have any ?s.
PlateletGal gave some very sound advise......I wanted to send u (((((hugs)))) over the situation with your mom......

Hi ! It sounds like anxiety may be causing your symptoms, but it is very important to see a physician and rule out anxiety and other potential causes for your pain.
There is no blood test yet (although a research test on spinal fluid) that can make a fibromyalgia diagnosis, but there is "tender point" testing and a thyroid test that apparently the majority of fibro / CFS patients are failing. Here's the link:
