Gabapentin side effects

So I was on gabapentin for 2 and a half years. I have fibromyalgia and chronic pain from scoliosis. I'm already prescribed tramadol. When they put me on it, it helped me a lot. But I started getting a rash. But I had no clue it was from my drug. Looking back it's the ONLY thing it could be from. I've got spots all over the back of my arms and legs. Some are scars from the ones that where healing. But they wouldn't close! I tried everything and have been covering it with clothing because it makes me look sick. They where about the size of a dime, felt tight around it, puss was bubbling out and they even got so bad that it was extremely painful. I also struggle with picking at my skin. So add that in and I'm doomed. They didn't itch at all, but got very infected. Went to a dermatologist and he didn't do much of anything at all. It has been torture for me to hide them and everyone calls me out on it. It's never been contagious which I'm very happy about. I can't deal with it anymore. It was only happing in the summer, but for about 6 months it has been there like crazy. I have frequent night sweats and chronic pain. It's really embarrassing to have this rash. I've been off of gabo for 9 weeks and they are finally healing. I guess I'll have to see if it's from that drug. My drs don't think it's from the drug but it clearly states that you can have an unexplainable rash. Any tips?!?! It's not shingles's, or contagious. I'd love to search on line but I haven't seen anyone else going through it.
