No, I have not been officialy diagnosed with Fibomyalgia, but I am almost sure that's what it is. You see I had Chronic sinunitus for a long time every docter I went to wouldn't listen to me they tried to say I was deppressed when I wasn't. But finally after about a month I found out what it was :chronic sinunitus. Now my family docter done an X-Ray and said that my sinus cavities look much better now. But I'm still having all the symptoms .And now I think that after having Sinunitus for so long it could have caused Fibromyalgia to set up, the reason I think this is because I read in a book about Fibromyalgia that usually something triggers it off  and causes it to form. Hope this all makes since.

I am diagnosed with FMS & CFS.  I have tried a million things to sleep including natural remedies and I absolutely hate taking drugs, but the only thing that has helped me is ativan.  It is said to be addictive, but I haven't found this to be the case.  When you cannot sleep, you will take anything. Talk to your doctor about your sleep situation.  Everyone is different and responds differently to medication. With Fibro, there is a hypothalamus dysfunction which occurs and the hypothalamus I believe is what controls your ability to sleep. Lack of sleep makes this condition worse, it's a cycle.

Also for the chronic sinusitis, you could try some Mucinex at night. Don't take the Mucinex D at night, it will make you hyper and your sleep situation worse. I concur with PlateletGal about seeing an ENT.  They can do tests and make sure nothing is obstructing your sinuses.

Hi Carisa96JO

I have no idea on your walking abilities so im not sure if this will help.

I was told by my Rheumatologists  to do a one minute walk every day.

What you have to do is start to walk fast, when you start to feel slightly out of breath time your one minute walk  dont just stop slow down.

I start off from my door get to the end of the road which is about one min thats when i start to feel a little out of breath then I walk the one min, then I slow down till I reach my house so its around the block.

The Rheumatologists  said I must do this every day because if I do it for a week then miss a day the weeks worth was not worth doing (great).

This really does help with the sleep how ever there are more days than not that I just cant do it due to the fatigue,I can get passed the pain but I cant always get up of the sofa or bed.

If you can try it even if you only done it a couple of early evenings you may get one good nights sleep.

Its the lack of good sleep that makes the condition worse.

I hope this helps if you can give it a go and let me know.

Hi ! I just responded to your other post. I checked and insomnia is a possible symptom of not only fibromyalgia, but chronic sinusitis as well. (I read in the allergy forum that you were diagnosed with chronic sinusitis).

I think you should consider seeing an ENT physician, who can treat your chronic sinusitis and then seeing if that resolves all of your symptoms. Have you officially been diagnosed with fibro yet and if so, by whom ? (just their speciality is fine)
