Yes, I heard this from many people.
MSM powder seems to show a lot of promise in the symptom management of certain conditions like fibromyalgia and arthritis.
When a therapeutic dose of MSM of 1 teaspoon+ twice daily is reached,
-starting dose is 1/4 teaspoon x 2 daily- then the full effects can be experienced. Increase delivery of oxygen to the cells, less inflammation,
less joint pain, improved cognitive function, increased energy levels,
faster recovery from physical activity/work and more!
I buy it in 5kg pails, 99.8% pure MSM powder, but I buy the one for ...horses, which is probably the same as for humans but much cheaper.
Well worth a try, but if you decide, get a smaller quantity at first, to test it.
You can gradually increase the dose for 2-3 weeks till you reach the desired higher dose. You can take it with water or juice-it's a bit harsh at first but you develop a taste tolerance after a while.
Myself, I swish with just the powder for a few minutes before I ingest it.
Take care,
Niko
Id did take away aches and pains. But the other feelings were too much For me.
Thank you very much. I did take the gabapentin the first day i got it and i was very nauseous and would sway while standing and just felt weird, kind of high or dream like. I dont think i will use it again.
Hi pipperj.
It works apparently on only 10% of Fibromyalgia patients.
Originally Gabapentin was prescribed for epilepsy and later for diadetic neuropathic pain.
Many questions have been raised, regarding the quality of the research
for alternate off-label uses, like bipolar, insomnia and smoe anxiety disorders
Personally-I have never suffered from Fibromyalgia- I would not take it.
Without wanting to influence you, I will give you my honest opinion.
The risk/benefit assessment if you take into account the placebo effect,
and all the side effects, may make prescribing Gabapentin for fibro, a questionable practice
A friend of mine took it a couple years ago and gained a ton of weight-
weight gain is one of the possible side effects-among dizziness, fatigue,
sexual dysfunction, increased risk of suicide and other.
I think a safer natural alternative maybe to take supplements to boost your own GABA production.
Serotonin is a neurotransmitter which enhances GABA.
Therefore supplementing with Tryptophan and 5-HTP can increase GABA action, as they are precursors to serotonin.
