Lycria

I'm thinking of trying the Lycria.  Does it help both the pain and fatigue?  I about at the end of my rope.  Seems the only way to stop all this is.............just going to sleep and not waking up.  I wouldn't do that tho.  I just can't stand it any longer.

I take Lyrica for the Fibromyalgia and it has been a miracle drug for me. Yes, there definately is problems with weight gain, but I started going to the gym, and I take lots of walks which is what we should be doing anyway. I fell like I have a lot more energy to do what I gotta do around the house, at work, etc. I guess I kind of dont pay attention to the pain anymore, I think because of the Lyrica I was able to move around much more that the pain is subsiding because Im getting more exercise.
I think its definately something you should try.
Let me know,
Melanie

Well folks it does help with periferal neuropathy. I had it so bad I could not sleep and it occupied my every waking moment. Now after 1 month on it I can sleep, my carb crave is up and my weight is up a tad and my sugar is up as well. i thik I may go back to the topamax for the headaches and weight gain, but at least my feet and legs are not on pins and needles all of the time.

I tried it for about a year, and I gained over twenty pounds. It never helped with my fibro pain, and it increased fatigue. I reccomend against it! By the way it is spelled "Lyrica" pronounced "leer-ih-cah". And yes it was originally created for diabetic nueoropathy, and pain after shingles. It was only approved for fibro last year.

Contrary to what the commercials say, Lyrica wasn’t actually tailor made for Fibromyalgia. Instead, it’s a drug that has historically been used for everything from epilepsy to diabetic neuropathy, and even the pain associated with shingles.
