Prof. Garth Nicolson is back answering questions starting 2/7/11
We're pleased to announce that Prof. Garth Nicolson, founder of the Institute for Molecular Medicine in Huntington Beach, CA will be here 2/7 to 2/9/11, 3 days in total, answering questions from MedHelp members regarding Autoimmune Disorders and the role infections play in chronic illnesses and treatments for these infections. Beginning 2/6 the forum will be open, accepting a total of 30 questions for Dr. Nicolson's return 2/7 - 2/9.

you could start a poll... but definitely yes! i think the emotional stress and mental health decline precedes autoimmune deterioration --> which eventuates into fibro - which then is a source
of more anxiety conditions - so it makes a compounded situation that is so difficult to make any improvement in... mix that with the invisible nature of it all and i think it's one of the cruelest set of illnesses that could assail an individual - because it destroys health physically, mentally, spiritually; you lose job, income, identity, relationships, social circles, assets...
i know you know. it has just taken me over 3 years to come to terms with what is (rather than thinking about what was and could have been), and got it all together in a handy list for myself to share...!

In my opinion, pain conditions definitely have a huge effect on our mental health and it's a normal part of the illness that we must learn how to manage.

Is it common for people with fibromyalgia to also be diagnosed with emotional/mental health issues?
