Savella (milnacipran) info

Hi, im new to the forums, im a 47 year ole male that has been labled with having Fibromyalgia.This is really bad stuff to have and untill now they have finally gave me something that make me feel almost normal again, its new to the market and its called Savella (milnacipran). All i can say is if you have tryed all the rest with no luck "like me" then have your Doctor put you on this.Having said that im on my 3rd week and the rheumatologist gave me a sample kit which im up to 25mgs a day and havent felt this good in along time.Most all of my pains is gone other than the occassional pain from costochondritis which is VERY scarry when it hits almost acts like a heart attack and trust me ive had many ekgs over the last year plus from this but my cardiologists said the ticker is good and for the chest pain try some Extra strength Tylenol and that works Great.I have found regular Medical Doctors are clueless on Fibromyalgia and they like to blame it on either stress,depression or anxiety thats the cause of this and im hear to tell yah there the last ones to see for FIbro. find a good rheumatologist that treats fibro and go from there, we have found some rheumatologist are learing while they go about this disease so i looked up all and started calling and found one that actually treats this and its well worth it to the one that suffer from this..Thanks and hope all is well.

Yes very true, i can say that my 3rd week in on 25mg 2 times a day i feel great.still alittle pain here and there but much better. i will say another big help for me "which was no cure" was having a Vitamin D test which i had a deficiency of it so thats back to normal and did help with energy..good luck with yours and spread the word we have something good 4 a change lol

Hello there;
  I am in full agreement when it comes to Savella. I am finishing off my second week and I feel human again. The excruciating pain has drizzled down to an ache. I have some pain but nothing like I've had over the last 2 years. I wish I had started this as soon as FDA approved it. Good luck.
