I will being praying this over myself and my family!
Psalm 91:9-10 (New Living Translation)
9 If you make the Lord your refuge,
if you make the Most High your shelter,
10 no evil will conquer you;
no plague will come near your home.
I've really been laying low the past several days. I'm in the Houston area and that's only about 2 1/2 hour drive from San Antonio. I didn't even try to get out and go withg dh to buy groceries,, I sure don't want6 to have to battle his flu. I'm like you guys, a sniffle or cough and I'm down for days. Take care.
gentle hugs
Angel
I didn't know that. I have noticed that I do't seem to run a fever though, but never thought about it. And yes, when I get the least little thing it totally wipes me out. The last time I was ill like that, I had the sniffles and felt weak and it put me in the bed for almost a week. No other symptoms except flu-like body aches.
I don't blame you for being fearful...I certainly understand your concerns.
What is scary for those of us with immune dysfunction, is that some of us can't even get fevers anymore. What happens at this point is when we catch a cold, we hardly have any cold symptoms... but our CFS symptoms are 20 times worse !
So knowing this and knowing that a virus triggered my condition, I am probably a little more frightened than the average American right now. The only thing we can do (IMO) is prepare ourselves by boosting up our immune system.
I have purchased a product called Silver Solution by Nutronix. I'll keed everyone updated as to how effective it may be.
Since our immune systems are hampered, a virus like this could be very harmful. What puzzles me is how it evolved to begin with and the fact that no one has been reported as having contact with swines. Yes, it is scary.
FOX NEWS IS HAVING A ALERT ON SWINE FLU AND THEY SAID THAT ALOT OF STUDENTS WENT TO MEXICO FOR SPRING BREAK AND BROUGHT IT BACK TO THE STATES.... ALOT OF INFO ON THERE RIGHT NOW! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! IN NEW YORK 100'S OF STUDENTS HAVE THE SYMPTOMS AND I DONT KNOW HOW MANY DIAGONOSED WITH IT.
IT IS VERY SCARY!! SOMETIMES I WONDER HOW THESE THINGS REALLY GET STARTED... KNOW WHAT I MEAN?!?!?!?!?

Excuse me? Did he say "cultered in a laboratory?"
Freudian slip?
Yes...either by inhalation or touching something that is contaminated and then making contact with your mouth, nose or eyes (which is why the CDC stresses handwashing).
Hope they can get a grip on this situation before it goes much further.
Stay safe.
Wonder how it is gotten? Air maybe
The updated MSNBC news states that 1,000 have been sickened in Mexico. None were in contact with pigs and even so, it would not explain it being mixed with bird/human viruses.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30386163
'Health officials have seen mixes of bird, pig and human virus before, but never such an intercontinental combination with more than one pig virus in the mix."
Oh great ! The swine flu has killed 60 people in Mexico now. This is serious guys and I'm not going to let the CDC downplay this one. I don't trust them and with good reason !

I had seen this on MSNBC this morning. Scary isn't it? Makes me question how these became mixed (since they are typically seen only in the one separate species). Can't wait to see how they explain this one.
Thanks for the information PlateletGal.
