i might have fibromiligia

i`ve been very sick for the past 3 weeks. i`ve always been very tired bc i have hypothyroism but it`s gotten a lot worse. it started out as extreme tirededness followed by severe stiffness and pain. i`m constantly dizzy, sleepy or sleeping, in severe pain, stiffness, i feel like i`m drugged up, and just plain exhausted. i also feel like i have constant panic attacks and then i just zone out. i`ve actually been so weak that i`ve fallen over. i ended up in the er last week and was just given an antibiotic for infection. it did not help at all. i`m sooo tired and weak that i can barely stand up. it`s gotten so bad that my ex husband had to take my 3yr old under his care bc i`m sooo weak and incapable of doing anything. could this be fibromiligia???? are anyone`s symptoms so bad???? there have been several days were i felt so tired that i didn`t even get out of bed to eat. i feel terrible and don`t know what to do. there are small periods where i feel a bit better and i can walk around the house for 5 min or so. in the past 3 weeks i`ve been so weak that i couldn`t even stand up in the shower. my doc took some tests to run for hiv, ms, lupys, & lyme disease but i haven`t gotten the results back yet. it`s so bad that he`s mentioned hospitalization. also my white blood cell count is elavated. could that be from the fibro??? is there any cure??? will it ever get better??? i`m only 26yrs old and my body feels like i`m 80. please help :(

You may also want to be checked for Mono.  I was shocked too when someone brought this up as I am in my fifties.  But sure enough that is what was wrong with me at that time. I do have Fibromyalgia.   You will find if you do have Fibromyaligia that your immune system has been compromised and you will be suseptible to more infections.  I had gone to the doctor several times in a three week period and was told virus, flu, etc.  When finally the doctor I was seeing was out of the office and I had to see one of the other doctors.  After having blood work done it was determined to be Mono.  About all you can do it get plenty of rest and something for the pain.

But, yes Fibro will give you the feeling that you have the flu all the time and you can never get enough sleep, because the sleep you do get is not restful.  Which is one of the most important things that you need if you do have Fibro. I hope you can find a doctor that believes that Fibro does exist and that you are trully in pain.  Best of luck to you.
