ok but I'm saying Fibro. is not really a disease medically speaking, it's only a word that collects similar symptoms in people without any specific clinical evidence.
In a way it's like a way to non-treat people for their symptoms and not even trying to. Medicine is a lot behind in immunological issues.
Your problem could have been triggered by an external pathogen like a virus or whatever. There was a man on a different forum here on Medhelp with swollen hands, feet, paresthesia, slight loss of vision. I found out that started for him after an unusual headache in November and I had him test himself with Romberg's test because I suspected a auto-immune reaction that involved his optical nerves, he was positive to the test. his doctor had told him it was just aging (44)...
I don't know what caused it but I think it was last year's "seasonal flu" whatever virus it was...
i have swollen hands and fingers and the itchiness too.i have fibromyalgia raynauds disease and arthritis(autoimmune disorder)
I read of a few people with Neurological symptoms, Peripheral Neuropathy maybe, who had swollen hands and feet/ankles. paresthesia. numbness. slight loss of vision and other issues.
I never heard of swelling being a typical feature of Fibromyalgia. consider that Fibro. is barely a defined clinical condition, basically only a collection of patients with similar symptoms.
