Sometimes, I have to go with my gut feeling besides what doctor tells me.
FM can cause all kinds of pains, sometimes excruciating for me. With my neck, I start with a good pillow.......and do gentle stretching of my neck.
Give it a try, it may help you too rather than going to another doctor. I sure know how frustrating it is.
I am having the same trouble with my neck, it starts in the back of my neck goes along my shoulder and into my arm. Has even caused some numbness. I was diagnosed with FM last summer but pretty sure I've had it much longer than that. I recently had an MRI to find out what is going on with my neck, shoulder and arm. I was thinking that it is part of the FM but more severe in that area. Haven't got a reply from the nuerologist because she's decided to pack up and move her practice. Don't want to find a new one if it's nothing more than the FM
