not sure what this is

For about 2-3 months I have been having some unusual problems. The lower part of my arms swell and are very painful. It hurts just to move my arms. I have like a burning and stinging in my legs and my knees hurt very bad. My hips hurt when I lay on either side. Went to doctor and done blood work and was checked for rheumatoid arthritis. Everything come back o.k. My back hurts when I stand very long. Only relief I have is when I apply heat to the different areas. Not depressed, but I want to sleep a lot.  What is going on here?

I have had all the same things you mentioned. Fibro seems to travel around. Right now my knees are good but my shoulders are horrible as is my neck and back. Get some vicodin and just roll with it. Hugs, T

It sounds like you may have Fibromyalgia or even perhaps a mix between that and Chronic Fatigue. Many doctors think the two are the same condition, but each person has either pain or fatigue as their main symptom.

I am not familiar with Arthrotec, so I can't comment on that medication. What kind of specialist are you going to see? The best type for what you are going through is a Rheumatologist. I would get in to see one if you can. Good luck.

I am going to see a specialist. My family doctor put me on arthrotec 75 mg. which does help with the pain. I can now move my arms without horrible pain. I am supposed to take it twice a day but it is unbelievable the cost of this stuff. Is that something they use for Fibro ? Any of this type medication has bad side effects.

From what it sounds like is maybe Fibromyalgia. Did you only get tested for RA? I've been tested for Lupus, RA, Lymes disease, B12 def. (which was low), Ect... If you have been tested for everything else, I would assume Fibro. Can you ask your Dr. for a referral to a specialist?
