For Nadh, the Dr. who was researching it is Dr. Joseph Bellanti, who I met at Georgetown University but I'm not sure where he is now (he'd moved to a private office).

It's assists the production of energy at the cellular level.  It's a subtle boost but really helpful for some.  I have no idea if the company is still supplying it that was researching it as an attempt at the first natural med to meet FDAs rigid standards.  Dr. B was researching for them.  It was originally used for Parkinsons effectively.  Hope that's enough for the googling to work.  If you need more, let me know.  Dr. B is well respected - his CV is 2 inches thick mostly of published research.

The research didn't seem to prove it enough for the follow though, but I know people who are still taking it and benefiting from it 6 years later.   I also know another person who had a reaction like mine and in combo with ritilian MAY have caused a brain lesion, so I'd start low and let it build and then increase only after that.

What is NADH?  I haven't heard of that.  I will Google it but a personal insight is often better.

I appreciate this post as I have just been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia.  I really don't know what helps me most or hasn't helped me yet.  I am anxious to read everyone's posts though.

A different way to word a question.  I like it.

I was not helped by meds and herbs.  Some include:

Licorish root (spelling?) - works for some people on their dysautnomia very well.  I got swollen glands and nothing good.  My lack of response to that and my hypersensitivity to drugs is why my doctor passed on the idea of my trying out a variety of the dysautonmia drugs.

NADH - works well for some people to boost energy.  For me it took 6 or more weeks to kick in, then it was so intense I sat by the phone to call emergency while waiting for it to calm down.  However, in the first year it was the first time I was awake, and as a result could think long enough to plan out my next move.

Accupuncture - every try and every variation has made me worse and it takes a while to recover.  A few people have told me similar experiences, others have improved with it.  The Nabuddram technique (I can't remember her name) made me very sick and contributed to setting the CFS in place.  It's the one that's supposed to remove food allergies.  Others have been helped by it.

Am I up to five yet?
