Well my doctor said i definately have fibromyalgia he said i have 18 out of 18 trigger points.... i'm on lyrica twice a day and peroxatine at night before i go to sleep and 4 lortab a day.... i still hurt but i am getting  a lil bit more sleep :O) and that is great!  he is also sending me to a physical therapist for myofacial pain, back pain, and manual therapy....so atleast finally they are listening!!! i just wanted to update everyone :O) hope u are all doing better today than yesterday and even better tomorrow :O)

Thanks so much! I have an appt with a diff Dr on Tues. The thing that sux for me, is that I'm a military dependent (spouse) and all of our Dr.'s are in one buliding here. I'm sure they all talk as well. So if one doesn't listen to me and I go see another, they could end up talking about me and then noone will help. I feel stuck, but if i get a referral to a pain Dr then I won't have to worry about that, because we don't have specialists here on post with our primary care Dr.'s.

switch doctors! My former Primary Dr didn't 'believe me' so I talked to my Chiropractor (who certainly knows my body and its degenerative pain), and my Chiro recommended a Primary Dr, who was HeavenSent! He actually believe me and listened to me! And has been willing to work with me with medications and alternative medicine. One thing I've learned over the years, if your doctor won't work with you on managing your pain, change doctors! (Also, next time you see your current doctor, tell him (don't ask him, TELL HIM) you want a referral to a pain Dr. My Pain Dr is wonderful

You're lucky, because my Dr.'s have refused to give me any real pain help, besides Lyrica and I had bad chest pains with it and dry lump in my throat feeling.  So they offer me nothing else.

Thanks for the update. It's nice to hear that there are doctors out there willing to listen and take their patient's seriously. Let us know how things go.
