worse in the morning, better towards the end of the day

i find the pain and inflammation and exhausted feeling is worse on waking, then improves during the day.
anyone else the same?
just wondering...
it's a leadweight deadweight feeling for maybe 30-60 minutes before getting up, thinking 'geez i hope i can move'; then pain decreases and mobility improves later in the day.

Thank god for friends!  I live alone like you do and I have 3 pit bulls so I can only imagine what you are going through!  Hang in there.  At least your dog didn't cause the fall as mine have a tendency to do so you can hug your dog without the simultaneous urge to strangle them :-).

I'm alive, just. Pain at all time high. Posted my fall on facebook and friends came round with meals. One rewalked my dog, and hundreds of messages. I feel the love and the pain.

that's hell on heII; jarring and shocking impacts to our system just trash us all over as well as in the body part that hits the ground. i'm refering to our energy system mainly. shock incidents like that are also sometimes the initiating cause of cfs, for some people. i know it's separate from fibro, it's just my experience that there's a LOT of overlap. so glad you had knights in shining armour to assist! yes, so long as bones not broken, i do think you were indeed better off going straight home.
couple months ago i also fell off my skate scooter at very low speed, a couple fellas helped me up; negligible scratch on the elbow; what really affected me is the jolt that was sustained by my energy system - i could really feel it dispersed and weak and basically disrupted. a strong wind can have he same effect. anyway i had to lie down for two days after that.
sorry for your sheer pain, it takes such a short time (one event) to mess us up for so long!

Oh my gosh...I am so sorry to hear about your fall. Daily life for me is enough of an adventure...I dread falling. I hope that it is not going to have you down for too long.

I knew that I would be stiff and in pain after yesterday but now I’ve really gone and done it. Stupidly decided to talk Mannie for a short walk, taking a short cut back home. As I crossed the grassland, I slipped and fell over. Luckily it was seen by some workers who instead of laughing, came to my aid. I was helped to my feet and escorted home in their van. I offered cups of tea as a thank you but they had to return to work. I wouls like to send out a thank you to my knights in shining armour (well work jackets). My left hip is on fire with pain and so is my left arm. My neck is starting to go the same way. I’m in for a terrible time. I will have to miss my trivia blog for today, so sorry. How can something as simple as a fall on grass be this bad, well it’s because of the Fibro. The pain has brought tears to my eyes and I never cry. My knights wanted to call an ambulance but I wouldn’t let them, just wanted to get home to my ample supply of painkillers. Full dosage today I think. Gotta go now, write soon.

Mornings are very rough for me too. My feet feel swollen and like balls of electricity shooting around when I first try to walk. I have had 3 surgeries on right foot already and just found out I have to have another so I just figured it was because of the problems in there. I didn't even think it could be part of the fibro...hmmm. I am very stiff upon waking and with any luck and alot of slow stretching...and medication...it gets a bit better for a while during the day...but never lasts near long enough. By evening...it is back full force and I wonder how I am able to draw a breath. It hurts so bad thru my ribs, shoulders, neck and chest. I can only assume this is a normal part of it all. I try to keep things done...and walk some nearly every day. Just had a 4 day camping trip so am not moving very well this week...but it was alot of fun so it was worth it I guess.

thanks for the notes to compare!
drunk ducks unite!
yes, if i didn't get the chance to rest midday, i would definitely feel like crap the whole day. it took me over two years to learn to punctuate the day with rests ... it's such a fine line between doing too little and doing too much, although doing too little is a rare event.
take care everyone

There is no let up at any point in my day. I wake stiff and when I move the pain kicks in. Already feeling tired as I attempt breakfast and first of painkillers. I can do chores in morning but have to nap at lunch. Again waking, feeling sick and dizzy. Chores again once painkillers work then back to the sofa. Early evening, I feel dead to the world but by bed time I cannot sleep. I am stuborn and I don't let this beat me. I cycle a mile a day on the exercise bike and I walk third of mile with dog daily. I keep my house clean and do the shopping. I arrange to meet with friends in the mornings as I know that I can slob out  for the rest of the day. I sometimes have enough left in the tank to play with friends' horse. Had to sell mine three years ago but still get to see him. Planning to ride him but will need a few days to recover. That's my life - full stop.

Its the same for me.  Even when I'm hurting so I know I can't go back to sleep I lie there dreading getting up.  My feet hurt so  bad in the morning I walk like a drunken duck!  Usually if I can drag myself into a hot shower I feel somewhat better.  Late morning thru late afternoon is usually when the fatigue hits the worst.  Then as evening comes (when I need to get to bed) my energy comes back.

I always feel like that.  It makes it so hard to get up.  It gets better in a couple of hours then comes back later in the day as I crash from even light activity.  A nap helps me but I can't often take one.

Hang in there.
