It varies a bit. It took me 2.5 weeks to stop bleeding after an uncomplicated vaginal delivery that required 1 stitch.

It took me six weeks to stop bleeding after giving birth, I was also bleeding quite heavy for the first 5 weeks then it slowed down for the last week.

Yesterday was 6 weeks and I'm still bleeding off and on. Saw OB today and she said it was normal. Every body is different.

I forgot to mention on this post with my 2nd child I only bled for about 2-3 weeks but this was on a vegetarian diet v/s the meat diet I had with my first.  Don't know if this had an impact or it was just because it was our 2nd child and my body reacted quicker.
