ACID REFLUX

I have had acid reflux for 11 years now and has been pretty manageable til recently I have been experiencing excessive burping, heart pain, stomache aches and gas with sometimes painful bowel movements. I was on prilosec otc and it does not appear to do very much for my symptoms. I currently do not have insurance and cant afford to go to the doctors for multiple tests. Is there any treatments that i could try or maybe a different medication to relieve these symptoms?

sometimes yes and sometimes no, i'm not sure why somedays it is loose and somedays not. I read that it may be caused by the anacids, i have been taking maalox along with the prilosec for some more relief, not exceeding the recommended dose though, also sometimes when i am gassy or need to go to the bathroom it makes me lightheaded and my heart starts racing, very uncomfortable, not sure why. This is such a wide variety of symptoms i'm not sure if anyone can figure it out.
