Can someone have Acid Reflux collapse?

Hello There, I have been an Hypo Thyroid (Hashimoto) patient since 2000.  Between 2002 & 2005 , I had severe chest pain and was rush to emergency.  Nothing could be identified.  I had similar chest pains and was rushed 8-11 times over the course of 3 years.  During this time, my Gall Bladder was removed (Dr felt it was my .02mm Gall Stone causing the pain).  I was rushed even after GB removal.  Finally it was connected to Severe Acid Reflux.  Most of my episodes happened early hours between 6am and 8am where I was rushed to hospitals.  Since taking Nexium, these chest pain episodes stopped.  I made huge life style changes and reduced my weight from 195lbs to 145lbs.  Changed my diet and included good amount of vegetables.  Since 2008, I moved from Nexium to Ranitidine.  Also, from 2010, I take Ranitidine as needed instead of taking them every morning an hour after my Thyroid medicine.  I have been doing pretty good since then.  I have been doing bootcamp since 2011 and I work out 4 days (1 hr, early morning).  Reason for my posting to this website is because of an incident which happened on Presidents Day.  I did my bootcamp that morning, worked half day and in the afternoon went to watch a movie with family at 2pm.  Had 2 egg omelette in the morning, drank 4 glasses of water.  Plan was to eat popcorn/snacks and coke during the movie and then go for light lunch after the movie.  Ate lots of popcorn, drank coke.  Few mins later, felt the same chest pain in the center of my chest.  Since I am very much aware of such episodes (had not happened for almost 14yrs), I immediately took Ranitidine (always carry in my wallet).  Still didn't feel good so stepped outside of the theatre and decided to walk in the hallway.  The pain suddenly increased to 10, Sat down and called 911, was cold and sweating and shivering, within 45secs of talking to 911, seems I had collapsed.  I was surrounded by some strangers who had helped me lay flat on a bench with legs elevated.  Paramedics arrived, I was telling them to give me Morphine (thats what I was given in the past when Paramedics arrived).  They didn't as they said the ECG shows I suffered Heart Attack.  They rushed me to the hospital where the Dr's were ready to do Engiogram.  I was very vocal and tried to divert them from Heart Attack to Acid Reflux but failed.  After the procedure, when I woke up, they said my Heart was in excellent condition.  Back in ICU, they did CT Scan of my brain too.  It was normal too.  I never passed out in the past with the same Chest Pain symptoms.  Had about 10-15mins to react in the past.  What I am worried now is, how come with all the lifestyle changes, I lost myself in less then 2mins and collapsed.  I was discharged and now they are following up for an Endoscopy followed by some Ph test later.  Did anyone had similar situation and can help guide me as to what I should do.  All I want to know is what caused my situation.  The Dr doesn't believe that AF could knock me down.  At the moment, we are all clueless of what is happening.  Since then, didn't have any Acid Reflux issues/symptoms.  Although I decided to take Ranitidine every morning and evening after dinner for couple weeks.  Please advice.
