Can there be an association between Acid Reflux and High Blood Pressure

I've recenly had an episode of "high blood pressure transients".

I'm a healthy, well exercised, 55 year old white male. But I've had some 180/110 transients (usually lasting
3 to 5 hours and abating) and now am running 145/90, with a few days of Propranolol. Because of an associated
minor "heartburn" problem, and the observation that I had a rough transition from Atenolol to the Propanolol, (a weekend of feeling poorly and experiencing a strong overall "distress" every time I would LIE PRONE..my MD
said to get Prylosec OTC. The "heart burn" problem, after 3 days on the PryloOTC seems to be much better.

I'm wondering if an acid reflux can cause BP spikes?
