Coughing up green phelm

I have coughed for the past 7 years.  I was finally told I had silent reflux.  I sometimes cough and then cough up green phlegm. I have had upper gi and colonoscopy.  It did show a hiatal hernia.  I don’t know where this green stuff is coming from.  Had anyone else had this problem?  I especially get it when I workout.

Silent reflux is well known for also causing issues with excess mucus production and not just in the esophagus but also in the lungs and sinuses.  Here's information on silent reflux:  https://www.webmd.com/heartburn-gerd/guide/laryngopharyngeal-reflux-silent-reflux#1.  The phlegm is pretty typical and that it is green means you should watch out for infections of the lungs or sinuses.  You may need a round of antibiotics?
