Just went to the GI today this is exactly what he has told me also. and also prescribed me with some medication. I should be going back in like 2 to 3 weeks to follow up. Goodluck with everything and go to a GI and get checked out!

Hi,
These could indicate GERD.
Dry cough and horasenss are extraesophageal manifestations of GERD.
24 hours pH monitoring may be doento confirm the diagnosis.
Alternatively a course of PPI may be taken in addition to lifestyle modifications for relief.
Lifestyle modifications -
1. Head elevation while sleeping
2. Small frequent meals
3. Going to bed 2- 3 hours after food
4. Avoiding bed time snacks
5. Avoiding smoking and alcohol
6. Avoiding tight fitting clothes
7. Avoiding cola, citrus drinks, carbonated drinks, tea, coffee, spicy food
8. Weight reduction
