Endoscopy

Hi, I'm having an Endoscopy on Fri. because I have trouble swallowing food and woke up in the middle of the night and could not breathe. It was really scary. Has anyone else had this happen? Also, I do not want to be sedated or anything when I have this done Fri. Has anyone had it done without anything and if so, is it that bad?

Hi, this does happen to alot with gerd. I can not answer u on the sedation, but do want to suggest u elevate the head of ur bed by 6" it will help keep the acid from moving up into ur esophagus and causing the breathing issues. It will not cure them , only help u get as better nights sleep.
