Enlarged Spleen or Splenic Flexure Syndrome

Recently I was diagnosed with dyspepsia, and now I started to have problem with IBS. with IBS I also started to get pain in my left upper back and all the way down to the spleen area, I felt pain more often when bending forward or some time with simple breathing. I did little research but I am clueless as to what is causing this sharp shooting pain. Could it be Mono, Splenic Flexure Syndrome or some problem with spleen. Does anyone have same sort of pain. My Gastro Doc did all the tests, everything came back negative.

Hi,
Since you have been diagnosed with IBS, it could be splenic flexure syndrome. Antispasmodics along with antidepressants are useful for relief of symptoms.
Sometime lung conditions can also cause symptoms like this. A chest x-ray would be helpful to rule out lung conditions causing these symptoms.
