Foods to ease barretts

I'm a 23 year old male and I was diagnosed with Barretts about 5 years ago. It hasnt caused me any discomfort for a good few years now, but recently I find swallowing has become more strained and at time painful. I have an increased tendency to choke or gag on food, which obviously while dining in public is embarrassing. Are there any food stuffs that perhaps ease the strain of swallowing?

Since you have developed difficulty in swallowing, you first have to undergo upper GI endoscopy to see whether you have developed any stricture or growth which is causing the symptoms.
