Read my last comment on your other thread.

GERD and reflux are used interchangeably. Heartburn is descriptive of the pain some get under the sternum area from acid moving up the throat.

Silent GERD or silent reflux is a type of GERD that "sneaks up on you". As you cant feel it unless it goes to the top, then you taste it and it burns your mouth / teeth.

You can have really bad Silent GERD without heartburn.

Thank you very much for your reply.  I am amazed of how great God has provided you with this knowledge.  Three Doctors: my family Doctor, a ENT and an Endocronologist  told me I don't have GERD because I don't have any heartburn.  Now your reply make things clear....thank you very much indeed.  May God continue to give you more good knowledge and more success in helping others.  God bless you and all Medhelp people.
