Is Prevacid .."Ok" for infants?

My 6month old was prescribed .25mg of Prevacid because of GERD symptoms. The pharmacy wouldn't fill it until speaking with the doctor. I'm just wondering if anyone has an infant/child that was given the same thing? He's not losing weight but he has trouble sleeping at night and he spits up way too much and I've alread changed his formula 3 times. He sleeps better when propped up but putting the pillow under the mattress isnt enough.

Hi,
Only two of the PPI are indicated in children - omeprazole and lansoprazole ( Prevacid).
So Prevacid can be given.
