Is this really GERD

For the past two years I have had a clear gel like mucus in my throat. It is 24/7. I have to spit all the time to get it out. I have gone to the ENT so many times they hate me. I had a barrium swallow, larynoscopy (2), ct scan of throat, and one of sinus, and one of the lungs. I have been on pump inhibitors as well and none have helped. Tomorrow I am having an upper GI. I have no clue where this all came from. It is miserable living like this as I feel uncomfortable around people now. My doctor's say it is due to allergies, but I don't have a runny nose, watery eyes, nothing but this horrible stuff in my throat and "yes" a sore neck 24/7. It too seemed to start close to when this mucus started. i really have no clue if they are related but wanted to give you that information too. Een when I drink water if "moves" this stuff around and makes me have to spit it out more. When I cry it seems to stimulate it too. I literally have to pull the stuff out of my mouth. Now, I am 50 years old now. I didn't have anything like this for 48 years so I find it hard to believe it is just post nasal drip, but so many have said that, that I do saline rinses, and sinus flush, and take OTC meds for it, but still nothing works. I really would like someone to think out of the box here and try to help me out. I feel like the only person in the world with this horrible problem.

You might have Barretts. You have the strong mucas that you have to spit out.  It's thick.  It also feels like you get things stuck in your throat when you eat and try to swallow.  Do you have that too?

The fact that you have a soar throat with that sympton you should go to a gastrologist.  Forget the Ear, Nose and Throat doctor!

I hope all is well!

Hi.
Mucus in the throat could be due to post nasal drip.
Since you complain of sore throat which is one of the symptoms of GERD,  a 24 hours pH monitoring test may be done to rule it out.
