Lump in throat

For the past 2-3 days I have had a lump in my throat that feels like I have something lodged in there, like I swallowed something to big and it will not go down. It is a rather irritating feeling. What could this be? What are some immediate treatment options? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

One of friend was feeling the same in his throat and then he consulted with the doctor on this issue and very soon he realized that the lumps he was feeling was due to GERD problem he felt the same symptoms that you posted here.

Thanks

Symptoms of Laryngopharyngeal Reflux are:

Continual throat clearing
Chronic throat irritation
Chronic cough
Hoarseness
Excessive phlegm the throat
Dysphagia (difficulty swallowing)
Constant sensation of something in the throat
Swallowed food comes back up
Post nasal drainage
Weak voice
Cracking voice
Blockage of the breathing passage
Spasm of the larynx (voice box)
Wheezing
Heartburn
This condition is a result of both UES and LES not working correctly.
And it is possible not to have typical gerd/acid reflux  symptoms.

See a GI dr to get a dx and meds...in the meantime see the Health Pages for tips on foods to avoid and  lifestyle tips to try as well as keep a journal to see if u can notice ur triggers.
