Nausea after the stomach flu - triggering bad IBS

I had the Norovirus or food poisoning with vomitting only, partially recovered after 48 hrs and 2 weeks later still having bouts of nausea, really reduced appetite still, could it have triggered my history of IBS, as i still have cramps and bloating, is there such a condition as post viral IBS (Where the virus aggrevates your stomach and causes bad IBS) any advice would be appreciated?

There is something called "post infectious ibs".  So, yes. This could be going on with you.  Immflamation is one way the body handles germs or issues.  It's our immune response. And this can affect nerves along your gut.  Over half other population gets better without treatment.  So, what you can do is A. look for diet issues that aggravate the condition and eliminate for now.  Take a probiotic to help restore a positive flora situation in your gut. And if you have any ongoing situations with stress, anxiety or depression, that you make sure you are being treated for that (medication if necessary, talk therapy, cbt, and lifestyle helpers).  Let me know what you think!
