Numbness, burning sensation, pain

I have barrett's esphoguas, I have recently been in the hospital twice in two weeks.  Once for high blood pressure, numbness in my left side of my neck, jaw and ear.  Also blue hands.  I had been taken off of elavil 25mg., that I was using for stomach spasm, per the doctor.  The second hospital stay, I woke up at 3 am one morning with a headache and nausea.  I took 3 baby aspirin, and two tylenol 325mg.  I laid back down and pressure came over me.  I got up, I had burning and pressure in the upper part of my chest, neck, jaw and ear.  I thought I would die before I got to the ER.  I was in the hospital for 3 days before having a heart cath, which the doctors said my heart was fine.  While in the hospital they treated by giving me 325mg aspirin, pevacid, lovanix , activan, anti-nausea drugs and pain killers.  I didn't have any spells in the hospital.  Now I am home and I just had two hours of numbness in my neck, jaw and ear.  Burning in my upper chest area.  The only thing that settled down was ativan 1 mg  .  I had taken laxis 20mg prior to the symtoms.    My question is can this be related to the barrett's or a possible blood clot.  It is the scariest feeling ever.

Please take your Barretts diagnosis seriously.  Two years ago as a result of my diagnosis Barretts with high dysplasia I am now minus half my stomach and most of my oesophagus.  My life is generally okay, however reflux and stomach bile is a big issue.
Will not go on altho I am happy to answer any questions if you want, just wanted to make you aware of the seriousness of your condition.  Take care

Hi rpwproud,

Burning in the upper chest area might be due to GERDand 24 hours pH monitoring can help in the diagnosis.

Barrett's does not cause numbness in the nesk, jaw and ears.

Consult you physician for further evaluation of your numbness.
