Hi,
You have two different issues-GERD and UTI.
As far as GERD is concerned, take medications like prilosec for relief. In addition certain lifetsyle changes are also essential.
These include -
1.Weight loss if obese
2. avoid coffee, tomato based products, citrus, chocolate, alcohol, smoking, fatty food and spicy food
3.Avoiding bedtime snacks
4. Eating frequent, smaller meals
5. Going to bed 2-3 hours after food
Consult a Gastroenterologist for evaluation.
For UTI, have urinalysis done to find the organism and the drug to which it is sensitive.
Swallowing with a lump feeling and mild pain could be from acid coming up to your vocal cords and inflaming them causing swelling and....there you go...hard to swallow. I have that symptom but then I have severe chronic reflux. As far as your UTI have you tried cranberry juice?? It works wonders. Drink alot of it and it may help. I would suggest a urologist and gastrologist....but...try to have a general doc help you first and see what he thinks and then he can send you to who he thinks is best. I'm so sorry I can't think of anything about the joints. Sounds like an arthritic condition. Hang in there and God Bless. Take a deep breath, make an appointment and go to a regular doc and tell him these 3 symptoms and he will help guide you in the right direction.
get in touch with an ENT and he will do a nasoscope to see if itis your esophagus that is swollen. you might want to stay away from certain foods that can aggravate your issues.ifeelyour pain.i had that issue for4 months anditwasmy gallbladder caasuing theissue.just takea tripto the earnose and throat dr for that test.
