Hi okx07746
It sounds as if you are suffering from acid reflux and anxiety. It is possible to have both. If you are anxious or stressed then this will make the heartburn and acid reflux worse and having repeated acid reflux can make your anxiety worse. You need to address both problems. It is possible to treat acid reflux with a diet, but more severe cases require medication. Proton pump inhibitors(PPIs) are the most effective eg Nexium - prob the best. You may need a PPI and some anxiety management. For dietary advice regarding acid reflux I would recommend this site:

does anyone know how does GERD cause sleep apnea or breathing problems?
I wake up hyperventilating sometimes with chest congestion and don't know if it's allergies or asthma or GERD?
nexium zantac are what I took and probiotics. there are prebiotics also like jerusalem artichokes and digestive enzymes.
I think I'm going to take the vitamin shoppe enzymes maybe, but I'm not sure nexium does anything
Hi there "okx07746"
I am glad that you have found our Community Forum and here are some wonderful people on here that will be sharing their info with you shortly.
Anxiety will make GERD worse, but there must be an underlying condition/defect that causes your GERD in the first place! Have you ever had any diagnostic tests done? i.e. Endoscopy, 24hr PH Study, etc.?
Hope to your from you soon so that we can help you as you sound a bit depressed and it is understandable. We have all been there at some stage.
