Liquid and saliva go down wrong pipe

I had a nissan fundoplication surgery 10 years ago, with several complications, due to a compromise of my vagus nerve. Lately, a couple times a day, liquid including saliva, goes down the wrong pipe. This causes me to choke for a couple of minutes. I don't know if there is anything I can do to correct this. It's a nuisance to say the least. I have yearly dilations and take 80mg a day of omeprazole, for esophageal strictures, But, this doesn't seem to help this problem.

Last barium swallow test was performed after my first surgery, I vomited and herniated my stomach, since then, I've had a delayed emptying study, is this the same thing? I have problems with my blood sugar dropping after I eat. I retain food, this is what prompted this test, not my swallowing. I was in the military during the surgery, and my doctor's were changing all the time. I have retired now and will have the same doctor's on my case. I will mention the above tests. Thank you so much.

Hi,
Have you taken barium swallow test or video fluoroscopic test to assess the swallowing ?
