What could be the cause of indigestion and belching after eating anything?  I had an EGD which was normal.

Hi,
You probably have nonulcer dyspepsia. Check for H.pylori infection.
Take prilosec for relief.
Avoid gas forming food items like beans, cabbage, broccoli, dairy products.
Avoid alcohol, cola and dairy products.

Hi, I am 38 years old and I had horrible acid reflux problem for over a year.
The only thing that worked for me is "lily of the desert stomach formula" Its basically an Aloe Vera supplement. I got this from my local Whole foods store wandering around one Saturday, willing to try anything after two gastroentrologists had basically written me off. This is also available on Amazon
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001E...ativeASIN=B001ECQ9K8

I started with Tums, Pepcid, Zantac and tried virtually every OTC antacid but it would come back. The first Gastroentrologist who ordered a battery of tests (including endoscopy) over a period of 1 year but concluded NOTHING. While I was under his care, I was on prilosec. I have also tried ALIGN ********* which gave me some relief. I was afraid to eat. My symptoms included heartburn and bloating. I am a runner, I still remember a day when the food in my stomach would not move and I had so much bloating that I went running and ran for more than an hour in frustration in hope that I would get some relief. The second Gastroentrologist said that I might have IBS (Irritable bowel syndrome). My personal opinion is that this is a "catch all" for anything that doctors cannot accurately diagnose the cause of.
Finally I have no heartburn for more than a year now. The first day, I tried the "lily of the desert stomach formula", I started feeling hungry. I had not felt hungry in a long time. I felt compelled to share my experience hoping it can help someone else too.
