I had the lap nissen surgery for GERD around 13 yeard ago.  I am starting to get the reflux symptoms back agin.  What are the choices for treatment now?  The original testing prior to surgery showed very evident GERD and corrected the symptoms for about 12 years.

I just want to ask you about GERD.  My son is 8 and he has had the ph probe and he has severe acid reflux. He vomits throughout the day and especially at night.  Did you have that problem with acid reflux?  His gastroenterologist did not answer my question if this is a common sympton of acid reflux.  Also,  they said the surgery has lots of side effects and that it was worse than the GERD afterwards.  Any opionion from you would be helpful.  There is also a Cyclic Vomittin Syndorme that we were wandering might actually be what is the cause of the vomitting.  Thanks Niki

I have the same problem..I am 17 and just had the ph probe done and i have 8 times the normal amount of acid but my problem is vomitting and it sounds the same as your sons.  I vomit throughout the day sometimes and it is worse at night or if i overeat...does this sound like your sons?
