Gallbladder and bloating

Set to have a third HIDA scan tomorrow.  My whole digestive tract is not right.  Had numerous tests, go to Stanford, etc.
Aside from all that, I am having worse bloating issues of stomach and colon.  Also some nausea again.
I am wondering if those of you with diagnosed GB issues have had bloating, nausea and constipation problems.
If you had GB surgery, how are you afterwards?
Thanks

Omg. 2 months for an appointment with a GI specialist! I see her on the 29th of this month. I've been eating low fat everything but I still get minor symptoms all the time. The last few days have been worse but maybe I ate something that did'nt sit well. I've found that eating a banana first thing in the morning has helped me and when I get the chest/throat discomfort I suck on a clear mint and it seems to help. I've lost around 20 lbs because I don't eat alot. I feel full after just a bit of food and I'm scared if I eat too much I will get really sick and I can't have that as I have a 10 year old to look after. I'll be so glad to get some answers. It's stressful living like this as I'm sure you know.
Have you had any more tests? Are you feeling any better?
Oh yes, my bowel movements are pretty much back to normal but they come on fast and there is still cramping but no where near as bad as they were.

Hope you can get an appt soon.  Seems like you have to wait weeks or months anymore to get in to a doctor, especially a specialist!!
At least they know you have stones, that's a start.  You might try drinking ginger and honey in water for the nausea.  You might try asking your Doc for a prescription for Zofran or Tigan.
My issues are complex as my whole digestive tract is a mess and now they want to do a liver biopsy fir possible autoimmune hepatitis!!  I am putting that off! No way do I want to go through a liver biopsy.
Well, my last HIDA scan (done with the ice cream) came back normal.  So now I have had 2 HIDA scans with the ice cream that are normal while the one dine with CCK showed an 18% ejection fraction!!  I am NOT happy!!  A friend, who is a Nuclear Med Tech, said the CCK test is really the standard.  Now I have no idea if I do or do not have a gallbladder problem!!  The doctor says he can repeat the test, if I want, but would have to check to see if Medicare would cover it.  I am so fed up with these doctors!
Word of advice, should they order a HIDA scan, you make sure it is the one with the CCK!  Not all places have it or do that test.
I can't believe mine was done at the hospital that way.  The one with the CCK was done at a Radiology Lab.
Hope you are feeling better soon.

Hi Margot. I'm kinda at the same place you are. I had an ultrasound done last week and found out I have gallstones. I haven't had any major pain but I am uncomfortable under my ribs on the right side and my stomach feels like I'm starving all the time. For the last month I've hardly slept unless I use meds for it, morning nausea, and my digestion is a mess. I'm bloated and gassy almost all the time.
I have been referred to a GI doc and now I just have to wait until I can get in there and find out whats next.
You are not alone. :)

Anyone?  I had a HIDA scan done yesterday at the hospital.  I guess they don't have or do CCK, was just given an ice cream to eat. :-(. Should  have insisted it be done at the radiology lab I used before. They assured me this would be accurate.
Feeling horrible today with bad stomach and colon bloating and nausea.
