Gallbladder

I started becoming nauseous about a year ago every time I ate.  I went through all kinds of tests including EGD, colonoscopy, HIDA scan and one just a month ago to check for hiatal hernia.  All the tests are coming back normal.  (Both of my grandmothers had their gallbladder removed with the same symptoms)  I now am having sharp pains under my breast bone in between my rib cage.  It hurts sometimes so bad that it drops me to my knees.  When the pain goes away the spot is still very tender to the touch.  Does anyone have any suggestions if it is gallbladder or something else?  I go back into the specialist on Tuesday.  Any help would be great.  Thanks

Acid reflux and indigestion can also be symptoms of gallbladder problems... was your HIDA scan normal?  For me that was the only test that showed something wrong, all other tests were normal, scans, blood etc etc... 7 months worth of tests... I had my gallbladder out in January and all my symtpoms went away...the surgeon told me I had a ton of scar tissue from multiple attacks (which didnt show on any scans btw) I was told by my GI and surgeon that gallbladder can be very tricky to diagnose if not stones as it mimicks alot of other diseases.  It was also hereditary in my family... so id ask again.

To add to the statements, I was put on Zantac 75mg 2x a day and that seemed to work for awhile but then stopped working.  I used to take Tums or Pepto and that has also stopped working
