How do you know you have gallstones?

I don't even know the treatment of how they do this these days or if they can detect gallstones early or not.  Relatives usually just had an attack and then had to have their gallbladder out right away.  But this was almost 20 some years ago.  Can you have gallstones and not be affected?

Yes sometimes people have them and dont know until they have an attack, or if you go for an Ultrasound for something else sometimes they find the,... certain foods can trigger an attack.  If you are having symptoms I suggest getting to your doctor to rule it out.  Good luck.
