Narrow bile duct found during gallbladder surgery

I had my gallbladder removed a few weeks ago. At my post-op appointment the surgeon said that nothing cancerous was found in my gallbladder which is great. Surgeon mentioned that during surgery they noticed my bile duct was narrow. She said this is probably from gallstones but i have to return for an MRI to check the bile duct in 6 months. Of course I'm panicked and worried that it is cancer or something else fatal. Has anyone else had this experience? Waiting for an MRI in 6 months is going to be terrible.
