Hi, I live in the UK. I had my gallbladder out 3 weeks ago, keyhole (apparently it was full of tiny stones). Everything was fine for 3 days, eating normally again for the first time in 4 months. Then I had an attack, and then attacks of varying degrees almost every day since the first, till I had an attack in the night and I had to call an ambulance 10 days post surgery. Only IV morphine would help with the pain. I had an USS, CT and MRCP all scans came back clear! My liver function tests (Bilirubin, ALP, ALT) were all raised and I was mildly jaundiced. The only thing the scans showed was a slight dilatation of the CBD. I was discharged after a week because they couldn't find anything. I stopped having attacks because I put myself back on a fat free diet. I literally can't eat anything with any fat in or it triggers an attack a few hours later, as has happened in the last couple of days again. I've read many posts on forums where the stones can be missed on scans. But where do I go from here? They keep saying they can only act on something they find, but I cannot be having this level of pain and there be nothing wrong. I'm getting desperate now as I can't continue to live like this forever. Or do I have to wait until things get so bad it becomes a medical emergency because the stone has lodged itself somewhere causing a serious blockage?
