Many thanks Doc.I was already thinking the same way. The study was done because of a little discomfort on my right side and the increase in gas and the need to use bathroom so much. to rule out gall bladder disease. After viewing the many comments from others , I don't want give up tje value of living my life as normally as possible with the hope that I can function better???? After consulting with others, it maybe some pain from the entrapment of my intestine with the hernia. Many thanks again, Marty
If you have no stones and very little pain why was the study obtained? Indications for surgery in gallbladder dyskinesia are very different from patients with gallstone disease. With symptoms and gallstones, gallbladders should be removed because they pose a significant threat to the patient's life. In the case of dyskinesia, the symptoms are the only indication. If these are sufficient to interfere with normal activities then surgery is indicated. In your situation, I don't even know why the study would have been obtained, let alone repeated. There is a saying in medicine that it is hard to make an asymptomatic patient better. If I were the surgeon you would have the umbilical hernia repair and nothing else.
