nausea before and after gallbladder surgery

I had my gallbladder removed four weeks ago after being constantly nauseated for three weeks straight. Before that had some queasiness and indigestion for about a month and a half but still had a good appetite and could function normally (ran 3 miles a dayetc.) When i went to my doctor I reported symptoms of bile diarrhea (once a day), nausea and pain underneath my left shoulder blade and into my ribs sometimes---actually the pain had been there without the gastro symptoms on and off for five years .( had a CT scan and some back investigation(mri etc) 3 years prior to this and it showed herniated disks, spinal arthritis and some degeneration)
This time my internist did an abdominal ultrasound, CT scan of abdomen, small bowel barium study,x-rays of chest etc,and sent me togastro dr for an endoscope-all completely normal except endoscope showed inflammation-then he had me do a HIDA scan on which a had an ejection fraction of 29%-also I had blood work to test everything---liver profile, pancreatic enzymes etc-my billirubin was ever so slightly elevated but returned to normal a week later and everything else completely normal-even c-reactive protein--then sent me to a surgeon who said the gallbladder needed to come out.I went through the surgery great---came home same day and only took advil 3 days for shoulder pains---now it is four weeks later- still nauseous much of the time and don't feel like eating---went form 118 to 106 during these 2 months-have gone back and they did new blood work and I should have it Tuesday ----but they had put me on 40 mg. prilosec 1x day, gaviscon as needed and .25 xanax at night to sleep because I told them I was scared-yesterday my gastro dr ordered carafate---the prilosec I am on for about 10 days.I have had a few days this past week with less nausea--still not much appetite except sometimes in evening---eating very lowfat and bland foods-I am just worried because I heard everyone usually gets over nausea within a week or two-also I still have one or two episodes of bile diarrhea everyday-do you think I should have further testing? Actually, the carafate seems to have lessened the left rib pain a bit---I am just so confused and afraid----I know people on here talk about still being nauseous but what do you think?

I think the carafate is helping but still feel some nausea at times---how long did it take for you to get over it---the nausea----I guess i have GERD---is that heartburn? But I have no pain except under left shoulder which radiates to the left ribs----

I wish I could help but the Carafate is super meds to help with GERD and to heal.  GERD is just awful ... Your whole system may be in turmoil since the surgery and having a tough time getting back to normal.  Keep in touch .. just my 2 cents.
