I had sludge with my first pregnancy (with symptoms) that progressed to a gallbladder full of stones. Hope you see success lankyrose!
C!
Thank you, I have changed my diet and no more sugars, no more high fats, no more gluten, no soy, hopefully that helps me get rid of it, oh not to mention taking malic acid supplements to aids in softening any stones for easier passage.
Hello,
A clinical examination and wok up is important for confirming the exact cause of your symptoms. Sludge is a mixture of bile, mucous and tiny bits of cholesterol-based and calcium-based particles. People with sludge may be asymptomatic or may have tenderness or pain in the right or upper abdomen .In few cases the sludge may resolve itself. However it can also lead to other health issues like gallstones, pancreatitis, cholecystitis and gallstone-biliary colic. It is suggested to consult a gastroenterologist and depending upon each patient's individual situation the doctor will advise watching and waiting, changing eating habits or surgical removal of the gallbladder. Do keep me posted.
Best wishes and regards!
