very high AST ALT, exhaustion, dizziness for 1 month

thanks very much!  I had AST ALT 80/260 after surgery and for 1 month I was bedridden and dizzy, couldn't remember or think.  I've been having clay and yellow colored stools, is this a gallbladder problem since bile colors the stool?  I think the other liver tests are normal.  could I have had encephalopathy?  I'm getting back to my sleep apnea exhausted state which is better than post surgical liver damage state

is this liv 52 really effective?  I think my liver was damaged by anesthesia and klonopin+narcotic Percocet+tyenol+metformin+levocetirizine+zantac.  how do I know if I have hepatic encephalopathy?

maybe methylation is only theoretical?  I don't know if it's safe to supplement with 6g/day of GNC phophitadylcholine and NAC

Hi, you could gather the information about your post op period from your clinical summary. With these natural remedies hopefully your enzymes have normalized. Another homeopathic medication Liv 52, is known to help with liver regeneration. Follow up with blood tests to know the present status. Also, have ultrasonography done; this will help study the present liver anatomy, the extent of cirrhosis present. Good luck.

thanks!  who knows how close I was to liver failure right after the operation since I checked levels 1 month postop at the ER.

I'm taking milk thistle, choline, phosphitadylcholine and vitamin E and now GNC choline complex.  I also was taking this amino acid complex from liverite but it's too expensive for me.  I started taking the NAC and in 2 days I began to have more energy and strength.  I still have a terrible shooting pains from pelvis from prostate infection not cured on cipro.  I started 14 days more of cipro and Flomax and finally began to have normal voiding.  but I had a fungal infection and my urological system is already damaged, permanently numb, pain.  I think I need Bactrim/doxycycline+diflucan or other antibiotic

but it is impossible to rest because of my sleep apnea and I ran out of klonopin to treat these seizures/PLMD I always have

Hi, clay colored stools happen when there is a blockage to the bile duct, like with a stone, so the bile does not reach the intestines and causes clay colored stools. But in this scenario, the blood levels of bilirubin are increased causing jaundice. Cirrhosis of liver can cause liver failure and consequent hepatic encephalopathy. The liver which is decompromised cannot metabolize the waste products hence there is an elevation of blood ammonia levels resulting in encephalopathy. You can have these levels checked to know the status now. If you have jaundice or if you have clay colored stools or if the liver enzymes are persistently raised, you will need to consult your doctor for an assessment. Take care.

I still have yellow stools, I probably have a bile problem and need to see the hepatologist?  this is because I had cirrhosis and anesthesia?

I wonder if this is an ammonia problem from NA fatty liver disease?  I've started taking arginine and protein shakes
