I just read your response to Stormy 16. I have had swollen lymph nodes in my abdomen since 2006, they have not grown much since. I have colitis in large intestine, and severe stomach ulcers. I have not seen a GI specialist since 2007. My local small town doctors think I have Crohn's Disease. I have remained concerned about the lymph nodes but your comment about toxins makes sense. Thanks for giving me something else to ask doctor about.
Hey, I had severe gastric problems and I got a CAT scan which revealed swollen lymph nodes. My doctor said that can happen when your body isnt doing a good job digesting your food so the lymph nodes have to work harder to remove toxins from the blood...I'm currently on augmentin for it. Lets see if that helps. Best regards!
Hey,
I am in the same exact position as your sister. I am 20 and I was diagnosed with Severe Gastroparesis and Barret's Esophagus with dysplasia. I had been going to the doctor for about a year with stomach problems and every time my lymph nodes were very swollen. I was preparing to have surgery and decided to get a second opinion. I am glad I did because I found that I don't have Barrett's esophagus, which is awesome, but I do have gastroparesis. So my new doctor wanted to do a CT Scan with Iodine. During it he saw that all of my lymph nodes are extremely swollen. I now have no idea what to do. If you hear anything please let me know I am dying for answers. Also, if you can find out what meds your sister is taking for her stomach. The two they had me on didn't work but there is one I can get in Canada, but I'm not really sure if I want to take something not FDA approved. I have also been doing some research on the surgery. Anyway please let me know if you can find anything out.
