Sounds good, good luck.  Remember medication is not always the answer. Eating right and taking digestive enzymes to boost the digestive process are helpful.  You may not have any choice but to take meds though depending on how bad the situation is.  Anyway, talk to your doctor.

I have a doctors appointment Dec , 6th  If anything new comes up I will send you a message. They are looking towards why my Liver enzymes are running a bit high. Since my ANA shows positive they said it is worth looking into. If something shows, I will try and find you.
Thanks, Greg

I am sorry to hear your wife had to have heart surgery, so I am sure she changed a lot fo thigns, no more salt for one.  Start small and work up with the breakfast thing. No fruit cups, to much sugar. A bagel maybe is ok. You need to force yourself to drink water, this will loosen your stools also.

I know eating better is painful, but you have to ask yourself, do you eat to live or live to eat.  If you choose the latter your health will suffer.

No more coffee, at all, cut it out of your diet slowly so you dont get the withdrawal.

Congrats on keeping the begal down, hopefully that also cut your hunger during the morning hours before lunch and you dont need to snack.     I think the Chlli was ok, but the beans will make ya fart. hhahahaa.    Glad you got an apple in there too, small steps, small steps!

My wife has spent alot of time on researching the foods. She shas done the low carb diets and know what is good and what isn't. She has told be in the past I need to change but I know better than she does, you know the routine. After her open heart surgery she went crazy with adjusting her diet but like most it didn't last. She gets on the kick when she feels the need and I told her that doesn't do any good that you have totaly change the way you eat.
Breakfast is going to be hard, I like the fruit cups but they have syrup in them. Maybe a bagle or something easy on my stomach until I get use to eating in the morning. I am going to do like you said and try and turn around my diet. I eat alot of pasta, I mean alot. When my triglycerides went to 1800 the doctor put me on a low carb diet and it was comming down.
Water, I don't even feel I want it. I have to force to drink it but when I start I can't get enough.
Well thanks for all of your concern for my health , I will try my best because I don't want to live like this. I still think there is something else wrong but you may be right that this is 80% of my stomach problems.
I am sitting here with a cup of coffee and feeling a bit sick, I don't feel that I can eat but I am going to try and get something down.
Thanks again and take care of your self, sounds like you have some of the same issues.

Ok guy, by looking at what you eat everyday it's obvious to me why you have so many problems, and it would be quite obvious to a lot of people in the health field what is going on with you, but not so obvious to you.  I suggest you find a good nutritionist to set you straight and teach you how to change your diet.

We'll take baby steps for now until you can find a nutritionist, if that is you want one, I can't help you too much with this...

One thing I have noticed, where the heck are the veggtables and fruits in your diet?

Breakfast, only coffee, that isn't good.  You have to force yourself to eat something, especially if you are downing coffee on an empty stomach.

Lunch, stop snacking on garbage, no more white sugar, no more potatochips and other ****. No fast food either.  This is not a baby step, it is serious stuff. You need to reduce your intake of this kind of food and slowly wean yourself off of it, yes it's tough. Eat fruits or other health foods as snacks.

Dinner: Potatos and white rice turn into sugar when digested, stay away from them if possible.  Pasta's are good, but they have a lot of carbs in them, not sure if it is good or bad carbs, you need to talk to a nutritionist.

Night snack, you have to stay away from the junk food, ice cream, greasy foods, etc.  Especially late. Hard to digest these. Instead have a bowl of fruit.

I have to tell you, yes those foods are good, but you know what is causing your cravings is the high need in your body for carbs, you need to get rid of these, and yes it is a slow process as you have wean youself off them.  Those kinds of foods cause you to be hungry again within an hour after eating, so you eat more and more and more and more, etc....  If you eat foods that have less sugar in them and less carbs eventually you will feel more full and not hungry hours later.

This is about as far as I can go with the diet stuff, you need to find someone local, not on here, to help you get your eating habits on the right track, and I promise you after some time, maybe a year you will start to feel better and if you keep upt he good diet you will feel better for longer.  I think 80% of your symptoms are b/c of bad eating habbits for so long, too many sugary snacks, etc. I have the same problem, but I have reduced mine to a tolerable level, but am still reducing week by week as best as possible. I eat lots of greens and lots of fruits, and I drink plenty of good water, I have felt better over the last year or so.  The one thing I do not have access to is a nutritionist and it is something I really want to have. My ability in this limited so I need their help, you need to find someone locally who can help you. Yes, you need to pay them, but your life is worth it and once they teach you you will remember even your wife can go with you and she can cook those things they teach you.  I think it would be good for her also.

Your stomach problems are all related to your diet.  You need to drink more water also.  No more ER visits, got to clean up your diet.  But this is all your choice guy, if you do not make a change you will continue to suffer, it is a choice, you don't have to do anything, but if you want to feel better, you need to at least try.

Something I don't kow if I mentioned. I have had alot of trouble with my stomach in the past 3-4 yrsor so but not for the total 13 years. I use to be one that had normal good movement then all of a sudden I started getting bloated to the point of it hurting.I was no longer regular and I had alot of constipation. I put up with it for a couple of years having to take laxatives every three days or so to make me go. I tried the yogurt activa and then I started the dieter tea because I didn't want to do laxatives. I started on the colon cleanse and it was great, my stomach was flat again and no bloating. After I stoped the cleanse I started after a month or so to get consipated again so I started a fiber drink and dieter tea every night. Everything went well bloating gone again and my stomach felt great. I am now have bouts of both constipation, diarrea, and sometimes ok but not large like I was use to 3-4 years ago. This morning diarrea, tomorrow ,who knows.
I have had bad stomach pain, once I had to go to the emergency room and I don't do that but I was bad, they found nothing wrong. The pain was so server that I thought I was going to have to pull off the road and call 911. I was sick, throwing up, and sweating too. Pain in the left side of the stomach. I also went to the emergency room because the mussel on the left side of the throat felt like it was shutting on my throat and breathing. Tow time this happen and scared me to death. They claimed I was on drugs and they tested me and of coarse found nothing. The gave me Benidrill (sorry speeling) intravenously and it relaxed it. These are the types of mussel spasms I get.

I did loose 19-20 lbs at the time I was doing the cleanse but my weight has balanced off at the 223 lbs. I am 68 3/4" tall and before my divorce  I weighed in at about 186-190 lbs  then durring my divorce in 1994 I went to 176 lbs. At that ime I felt really good but the stress was getting to me.
I gained weight over the next couple of years but my wife loves to cook so I blamed her. What do I eat, well I will tell you what my normal diet consist of today and for the past 13 years.

Breakfast - 6:00-7:00  I don't eat, makes me sick to eat earley morning , only 1 cup of coffe at home before leaving.

At Work 7:30 am - 12:30 noon -  I will snack out of a machine at work ( sweets ) normally two items, pack of cookies or such and another cup of coffee

At Work 12:30 noon - I normaly get luch at that time. I was doing the Mcdonalds and fast food thing up until about a couple of months ago. I am now taking a luch meat ham sandwich and a small bag of chips. I was getting sick when I tried to eat lunch with the fast food. I would actually make me feel as though I was going to throw up.

At Work 1:30 pm - 5:00 pm - Usuallu another snack or two out of the machine, candy bar , red twislers, cookies or such.

I have to go and check on my mother and make sure she eats so I don't get home until 6:30 or so.

Dinner - 6:30 - 7:00 - My wife works full time as well but she is pretty good at getting a decent meal on the table. She get home at 5:30 but she is good about whiping up somethinig.
I am a big Pasta eater, have always been and love it. I cna eat it 3 times ady if I had it. SHe tres to accomidate me but she ,unlike myself feels you need more.
Some of the foods she makes - Right now there is a post roast in the with potatoes in the crook pot cooking for tonight.
Other foods other than pasta
BLT's and chicken noodle soup
Chicken, mostly frozen but some fresh as well and vegables ,frozen combo.
Steak, fries
Hamburger (fresh) and a side dish, I like mine with out the bun.
Fish and fries, sometimes but not alot, not real found of frozen fish.If we have it it is fresh fish.

I can't think what else there is,normaly it is something she can make fast but she tries to balance
and we will have a salad with most meals as well.

At night, a snack, ice cream, frozen tamolli or something similar, or vienna sauges in a can, cheese and salami or anything I can find.

I don't drink much alcohol or on occasion, I don't drink alot of pure water either
I smoke ( I know this is bad, I have been told ) I have quit three times once for 7 years, onnce for 3 yerars and once for 2 years. WIth my stress and nerves shot I just feel it is the only thing I have to releive it. (1 carton per week )

I had a photo of the white things in my stool but I must have deleted it out of my PC, I can't find it. At the time I ask the company if I emailed it couldd they tell me what it was but they said no.
Thanks for taking an intrest in this but I unerstand if you want to drop it, just let me know. This is my life now and and it is very easy to talk about but it isn't yours.
I have been feeling pretty good the past couple of months but I started going back down again slowly over the past week Two nights ago I started hurting in my neck and body again and I had a bad night last night and this morning. I am stiff and the bridge of my nose , back of my neck & head is killing me. Along with the ringing getting louder and body aches and tired.

Seems the cleanse did something, but you should have actually lost more weight than that..  But ever cleanse is different.

I am not sure how tall you are, but I suspect you have some weight issues you need to deal with, it will help you feel healthier, I am not critizing you, it is for your own benefit.

I believe what you saw in your stool were pieces of dried, old waste matter that was stuck to your colon wall, this is what should be coming out. Be as graphic as you want, these things are very important. That is why you lost weight, and you should be losing weight once you get rid of it.  A lot of people lose more than 10lbs just from stuff that has been sitting in their colons for years and years and years.

It appears you did remove a lot of stuff from yoru colon which is good. but i suspect you still have more. I am not sure if it was a parasite or not, but it could have been.

The white things could have been parasites, without a picture, I cannot really be sure.  The capsules may have something to do with it, but I am not sure as I have never tried the one you did.

Micro pieces of shell fish? Sea urchants? cutting?  hmmmm, I have never heard this, but it sounds a little dangerous if they cut through the lining of the colon...

I still want to know what do you usually eat? What does your usual diet consist of?

Again not graphic at all, it is useful, I believe you have a lot of intestinal, colon issues going on, but still need more information about what you are doing to your body now...

No sure the update was a day later, who knows.
I went from 242 lbs to 223 lbs and I am riding the 223 to 226 lbs right now.
I followed the directions to the tee and did not miss a day. I did check  and not sure what I was seeing , a little gross but it was important in seeing if I had anything. The biggest thing I noticed during the time of taking it was the two different colors the stool was. Trying to not get graphic but it was a large size discharge normal color with kind of large black streaks running through it.
I thought to myself, why is it two different colors so I did like they show on the site and picked it up with a paint stick. The dark strikes stayed in tact and was long and slimy like you see on the site. This went on quite often. Was it Parasites or was it the slime in the lining of the colon ,I don't know ?
At one time there were thousands of small white round about 1/2 inch long bodies that had rings around it. The rings were bulging beyond the main part of the body. At one end was a rounded point and the other kind of flat. Very hard to explain but they pretty much fill the bowl. I thought maybe there was something I ate that would look like this but there was nothing I could think of.
My wife is so specious that she said they are probably putting something in the capsules that I take, lol.
I had read that it can take up to a year to get rid of them. There is one program that will work with your doctor. The cleanse they have are micro pieces of shell off of sea argents. It scrapes the lining of the colon  cutting the parasites and killing them.
It has been about one years since I started the cleanse and I want to do it again. They tell you only do it one time a year.
Sorry if too graphic but there is no other way of saying it.

Thank you for sharing your information with me.

How much weight did you lose total when you finished the cleanse?  I bet you lost at least 10-20lbs?
Colon cleanses are great if they are done right.

What I wonder is, what are you eating usually?

Large bowel movements are good, check them to see what came out, you may have some very large parasite, like a worm or something, and you cannot just kill them, you have to kill and eliminate them from the body, which is sometimes hard to do. They like to hide behind other waste matter in your colon.   Acidophilous is also good, you were taking probiotoics which I think includes that, and may even be better.

You very well could have picked something up in the Philippines under those conditions and it eventually manifested.

I started on searching something to clean my body and about 12 months ago I decided to do a colon cleanse. It is so hard to know what is best becasue they make them all look good.
I hope this doesn't get me kicked off of this site saying the brands I used. I did this on time trying to help someone and I was booted because I was advertizing. I was new on the site like this one and I didn't know they sold products. Well here it goes, if you don't hear from me you know I am gone.

1 1/2 years ago I was doing research into colon cleanse. I tried to do the GNC produts but that was a loss cause. 12 months ago I found a product on line Dr Natura Products, I bought the Colonix Internal Cleansing Program. Along with it I bought Paranil ( Flora Protect Probiotics ) which they recomended. This stuuf really seemed to be doing a good job, some nasty stuff came out of me and allot of it. I think it was a 3 or 4 month program, I am not sure if that is right or not.

You can read about it at  http://www.drnatura.com/?gclid=CP6uv5yVq48CFQltZQodhxrgEw

After the cleanse I bought from another company GHT a product called Threelac. It is a powder that you take and it contains Live Lactic Bacteria, I did this for 4 months. It has been appox. 4 months that I ended these programs. Appox 3 months ago I started taking the Probiotics that I had left over , I bought a couple of bottles extra and 1000 mg of fish oil per day. I took it off and on for the first month only because I kept frogetting to take it. Two months ago I started I got on a strict everyday scheduel of the Probiotics and Fish Oil I did that every day for a month this was just about a week before I started feeling good. After one month I got off my scheduel and in about two weeks it all started again. This was about the time I was so fatigue that I slept most of the week end.

So the way it happen was I started the pills two weeks later I was feeling pretty good
Took them for one month then started feeling bad after in two weeks.

I have been taking them off and on the past 3 weeks and I have decided to get back on it hard and see how it goes. When I take this combination of the two my bowels move good and large. If I don't in about 5 days I get consipated and the stool I very thin.

When I was in the Philippines I ate things like monkey meat and I think dog . If I would have know this I would have not eaten it. I was in the Marines and we were out in the field and we forgot of all things to bring water. We had to get the water cans that was carried on the sides of the trucks and tanks and use it for drinking water. There was so many dead bugs in the water we had to use our tee shirts to strain the water. The amount of bugs in the water was unbelievable, we didn't even think to boil the water.
We had to take Malaria pills while we were there as well and I have always wonder what that might have done to my body. So many things you are exposed to when you are over seas for 13 months when you don't know any better.

These things have always been on my mind but this was back in 1975 when this all was going on and my biggest problems started in 1994, 21 years later.
Back in 1974 & 75 I had fatigue problems but I thought I was just in a rut and I forced to get myself out of it. I worked the day and could sleep after I ate until the next morning.

Well I am sure you are tired of hearing all of this, thanks again for listening.

The three specific symptoms you asked about, I am not sure what they are related to.  It could be that you are eating something your body doesn't need and cannot handle, like too much fat, spicy food, meet, maybe you are over eating, not eating enough veggies or fruits.  It could also be you have some inner ear problem, such as vertigo or other issue.

You need to ask yourself, what did you do differently in that 1 1/2 months?

Maybe you did something to your body that will take it time to heal...

Stress is possibly only one cause of your problems, there could be others, I don't know.  But once you get the stress under control, it could take some time for your body to recover. Remember you have not been feeling well for 13 years, you cannot expect a miracle in a month, it may take several more years of fighting with the symptoms to actually come to a point where you really do feel better. That is why I am emphasising you need to find a psychologist that can help you through this.

I live in Taipei, I am non-Chinese, lived here for several years working.  Since 1975 everything has changed, trust me.  Probably your ship came into Kaohsiung, which was then spelling Gaosiung I think, that is in the southern area of Taiwan.

You may have some very bad parasites in your body, and the only way to get rid of them is to kill them. You need to do some research on your own about parasitic cleanses for the colon.  You very well could have some nasty things in there, especially if your stools look different, thin, sliced, etc.   You say you have done a colon cleanse, I wonder which one you did?

Ok, I understand that the stress will cause allot of problems and I don't disagree with you at all . One thing if I may ask is about mussels aching, Ringing in the ear, and the horrible fatigue I get along with stomach problems. They all go hand in hand, when one starts I know the rest will follow.
For instance up until 4 days ago I had one of the best 1 1/2 months I have had for along time. I had energy, my stomach was doing really good along with a normal loose stool. With all of this my neck didn't hurt hardly at all and I could sit and relax in the chair and my neck felt good. Very little cracking if any at all in my neck and my ear had a much lower ring to it but not totally gone. For the first 8 years on my problem I was 24/7 with all of the symptoms, these were times I wish I were dead. I would wake up in the morning and cry because I was in so much misery . For the past 5 years I have had some relief, once for 4 months that I felt as close to normal as I can remember. For the past five years I was going in cycles, I would start to feel bad, uptight and for 4 days I would go through all of the symptoms. I would get a break for 2 to 4 days then back into it again.
Now I seem to be getting longer periods of good but I still fall back into it for no reason. About 4 months ago I slept for 28 hours out of 36 hours over the week end and could not function.
I feel there is something in my body causing this all to happen as one big problem.
Something that I didn't mention is that back when this started and I had peronies disease and I when to a Urologist and what he ask me I thought to be strange.
He checked me out and told me I had Peronies but he ask me what was going on in my life. I looked at him kind of dumb founded. He said the reason he wanted to know was that he could tell that I was beyond normal stress and I was headed for big problems if I didn't get it straightened out. I told him what I was going through and this was before the other major stress related things I mentioned. He said please see your doctor and get help or it won't be long before my health would decline. I told my doctor but he did nothing and things in my life went down hill from there.
Ok, if it is stress working on my mind and doing all of these things to my body ,will I be able to get it under control and be normal once again?
By the way I see you are from Taiwan, can you tell me what part ? I was there in 1975 when I was in the Marine Corps but only for the weekend. I was on ship and we docked at pier 8 and it was in Kagoshima or Kawoshima. I can't remember one is in Taiwan the other is in japan.
I have even thought this could be related to some of the food I ate in the Philippines, I have done the colon cleanse 4 month program.

Ok, wow, you have a lot of things going on and have been dealing with them for many years, but they all relate to one thing in my mind, the way you think and the way you handle stress.  And yes life has thrown you some real tough ones.

Firstly, you need to find yourself a good therapist that can help you through some of your emotional issues. How long you will need to be in therapy is up to your progress and your therapists recommendations. You need to find ways to handle stress better and even let most of it go. They can help you.

Secondly, you need to find a good rehabilitation clinic to help you with your neck pain, I suspect a lot of your symptoms are coming from that disc, if you have numbness, and pain, you need to get it checked. You need to go and learn how to do neck stretches and exercise at home when you are not in rehab. Stop putting pressure on your neck, sit up straight, do not lie down to watch TV, sit in a chair, feet flat on the floor, a straight line to your abdomen and then upright so you are sitting perfectly. No more slouching at all.  Neck surgery is not recommended unless you cannot hold a tissue between your thumb and index finger. It is not a pleasant surgery and you may end up feeling worse afterwords.

Thirdly Fibromyalgia is caused by a fear, and shows up as an extreme tension due to stress, which fits what you say perfectly.

Fourthly, you need to get a book that is entitled, "You Can Heal Your Life," by Louise L Hay. Any edition is fine, though I would recommned something around 1999 or newer, not many updates in the book, so all of them are just about the same.  Read the book and understand what is going on with you, her story is touching and she offers a completely new approach to how we think.

Good luck and keep me posted on your progress.

I had a sleep disorder 5 years ago where I was waking every 45 min. and then falling asleep after being awake for 15min. I would never get an hour straight sleep in one night. I was put on something ,I can't remember but now I am speeping good. I am not taking any med now except my testim gel I put on my sholders and chest.
I have tried the prozac and all the others but afer 4 days I start shaking inside and I have to stop. I refuse to take any of them now.

I ask this doctor if stress is causing this and all he said was It could be.
Fibromyalgia is one that keeps coming up but I don't have any tendor points.
I feel all that is is an excuse because they don't know what is going on. Just my thought.

Thanks for the reply. Bood pressure is always good, no problem there. I have been married to this woman for 13 years and never , I mean never have I strayed. Only seems to be a problem when I get hot and moisture in that area, appox. a 6 month period. Hot and sweating comes and goes now and it has been 4 months since any sores. I can't put a finger on what SDT is, mind is going blank.
I have had MRI, Cat scans, Sonna grams, you name it. I was told 10 years ago that I had a disc in my neck #5 that was buldging. I whent to a surgeon that is top in his field and he said I didn't.
My neck get real tight and cracks, at the same time my left ear rings louder even though it rings 24/7
Sitting in my recliner is the worse, the back of my head hurts and net tightens. My stomach will start to act up, fatigue, calfs of legs tired and hurt. Mussels ripple in my legs. When my neck and mussels tighten I will get in a confused state, short term memory loss and speach.
Stress has been a big part of my life since this has all started. Depression is a big one, I hurt so bad when I get up that I would like to end it all. I use to be able to handle the stress but now it doesn't take much to set me off. A few of the stress things in the past 13 years
Divorced - this all started at that point.
Remarried within 6 months afert divorce
My children along with money issues in my first marriage a problem
My now wife's children - a nightmare - now gone and on their own, kind of. I am 53 years old.
My wife had three surgries in the first 3 years of our marriage, including tripple heart bypass at 38 years of age.
Her father died from cancer the fourth year.
Her mother was in a bad accident and almost died the 5 th year.
I have a mother that has Alzheimer's and I go to her house 5 tiems a week.
I have peronies ( damage to the penis) disease and it started at the time we got married.
I am doing the job of 4 people at work and that isn't exaggerated but that is my falut because I am one to take on more and who care s about the stress, well that has changed except I still have the work. I work 6 days a week.

These are some of the stresses and now my grand child is with foster parents because my son is pretty usless and the mother is on drugs and in jail
Yep, I have had and still have stress but that is life and what am I going to do about it.

Thanks for listening, no one what to hear me any more.
The Rumatoligest that I have now found my liver enzymes elivatred and are going to do more test in Dec. This is my 20 th doctor.

Some of your symptoms sound like high blood pressure, but I do not think that is what you have.  You have sores on your penis, which could indicate an STD, and that would go inline with some of your other symptoms as well. Have you done soemthing recently that could have put you at risk? Vision problems could be because of an allergy, pollution, or unlikely a stroke.  Cramping muscles could be do to some neurological problems like a slipped disc or you need to get your electrolytes in balance which I suspect is the problem. You need some calcium and magnesium.  The cramping should subside. Yuor ligh headedness also could be due to dehydration...

I would get yoru cholestorl and triglycerides in order guy, get some exercise, cut down on any fat and bad oils, etc. You know the drill, that is very important.

Your blood sugar is over the limit, 128 is above normal and could indicate diabetes onset. Your symptoms also fall in line with this. You need to go to a doctor and get some more tests and probably start checking your levels everyday. Cut down on sugars, especially white sugar, and get exercise.  I almost think this is the major and #1 cause of your symptoms, go get it checked out mroe.
