2cm mass in my pancreas, any suggestions for diet or outlook

I am a 45 year old male, who after months of experiencing stomach and back pain, has had a small mass in his pancreas discovered.

Obviously I am thinking the worst, but am wondering if other people experienced similar situations, and also wondering about what I should eat, etc.

It's pretty frightening, but without a diagnosis, I am trying to still think about healthy choices of living etc.

Is there any hope?

Just wondering if you had your biopsy, and how it went?

Bless your heart, I had no idea they found stuff on the liver and colon, too, but at least it's just "traces," so you've caught it early, if it turns out to be grim news.  Drink plenty of water and get enough fiber, to keep your digestion regular.  If this helps you, my nephew was a teenager when he was diagnosed with bone cancer, very deadly situation, and it spread to his lungs, and we thought sure he'd be a gonner.  But surgeries took out every bit of cancer he had, and ten years later he's finishing up grad school and feeling fine.  It is amazing the progress they've made with battling cancer, and if my brother's kid could make it, then so can you.  But here's hoping it's just you have a tendency to have benign growths, which I do and I'm in my 50s, and you will be able to put all this scary stuff behind you.  Sending up a prayer and best wishes, GG

I'll take the advice on the low fat diet!

I'm having a biopsy done next week, so I guess I will know then if it is cancer.

Unfortunately there is also some traces in my liver, and in the colon.

I remember before when I fasted, I did feel better,

Thanks for your help, anything would be appreciated!

Since you have abdominal and back pain, you could opt to have the mass removed surgically, and they can do a biopsy to rule out cancer.  And while they're in your abdomen, they can look for other irregularities, like a blocked duct perhaps.  In the meantime, low-fat diet is best for a pancreas that isn't working like it should.  And I don't know this for a fact, but if you will fast for three days and only drink water before lowering your fat intake, you may get better results.  But I would look into getting that mass out of there.
