3 weeks post-op sudden numbness after suture removal

I'm 3 weeks poet op with an ileostomy. surgery was for diverticulitis, colon resection. i had the last of my surtures removed yesterday...the largest incision. i woke this morning with numbness high in my left thigh and groin...i didn't have this until today!! too early to call my surgeon, i'm getting freaked out by it!! what could cause this sudden numbness?

called him and he said it was a common issue, and could last up to a month or so. i guess some get this and some don't. i have had numbness directly above the incision since the day of my surgery....thanx again for your help : )

Had the same surgery for crohn's 6 yr ago did not have that problem call your doctor never to soon if you feel it a issue it better then sitting around worrying about it call him
